Yesterday we got to see Steven for the first time in 3 months! We got both of our webcams up and running. The kids LOVED it! They talked at the screen, blew kisses and waved at daddy for an hour! It was wonderful to really see him. It's been a long autumn for the kids as they only got to talk to daddy on the phone for a matter of minutes maybe once a week after he arrived in Kuwait. It's a blessing to have the technology that so many abuse, but we definitely put it to good use. We should be able to talk and see daddy anytime they're on base since he has the internet right in his room.
Steven just finished a 40 hour class on the Caiman mrap and he passed his final test with a 98%!!! He missed one question due to misreading it. He is now liscensed to drive all vehicles that are in Iraq except the tank. This makes him more useful to everyone and has kept him learning.
The kids are doing better since seeing Daddy. They even slept better last night than they have in weeks!Talk about a confirmation on the importance of Daddy. Mommy is doing better too and actually got to sleep before mignight for the first time in 3 weeks!
Yeah for webcams!!!!

Technology is wonderful. I don't know what I would do now without it. This is also a great way to keep in contact with those that are so far away and so hard to keep up with.
I also love technology because it keeps me reading...technically listening to general conference without having to pick up the ensign and I can feel the spirit and learn from apostles and prophets while I'm working out at the gym!
